Star Wars CommTech Reader Review

Star Wars CommTech Reader
Average Reviews:

A fun idea that takes action figures to a new level. The CommTech reader not only allows your SW action figures to talk, they'll say their corosponding lines to each other! I am really apreciative of the fact that the chips are separate from the figures so you can just play with them as regular action figures, making up your own dialogue. Another bonus is collectors don't even need to take figures out of their boxes to 'read' their chips, it will work through the cardboard if desired the figures can remain MIP. Comes with a handy chain to keep all to the chips in one place as well if you do want to take out the cards.

Password Journal (Boxed) Review

Password Journal (Boxed)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We got this for our 5 year old daughter for Christmas. This was without a doubt her favorite toy that she received. She has a six year old brother and the idea of keeping him out of her journal is very important to her.
Setting up the journal password is a bit difficult. The key seems to be to "whisper" the password. If you speak loudly the system seems to not understand or get overloaded, I am not sure.
But, the "whispering" of the password seems to add to the enjoyment of the experience for my daughter. She feels like she is keeping a secret.
I would say one time out of three the book will not let her in when she says the password, but even then it is simply fun and makes her laugh, "intruder alert."
So, to those of you who bought this, try to whipser the password, see if you have success. Those of you considering it, know that it is great fun, and well worth the price.

Toy Story 3 Jessie The Talking Cowgirl Review

Toy Story 3 Jessie The Talking Cowgirl
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My 5-year old daughter received this from Santa Claus and she has played with it non-stop. Jessie is made well. My daughter's only complaint is that her hat falls off a lot. Although several people have complained about Jessie not having real hair rather than plastic, my daughter has not complained about that. And she is a girl who loves to play with a doll's hair. I am glad it does not have real hair since all of my daughter's other well-loved dolls have matted hair since she plays with them so much. Now, I won't have to worry about it with this doll since she has plastic hair.

NEW Bull Horn Megaphone LOUD Speaker Bullhorn w/Music Review

NEW Bull Horn Megaphone LOUD Speaker Bullhorn w/Music
Average Reviews:

These were better than I expected. I got two for my grandsons who are two and five years old. I thought that they could entertain their mother on rainy day indoors. Because of the price, I thought they would be flimsy, but the weren't. I bought them as toys, but they are not. As bull horns go, I guess they aren't very loud, but they are plently loud enough for my purpose.

Fisher-Price Manny's Fix - it Motorcycle Review

Fisher-Price Manny's Fix - it Motorcycle
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We just got this for my 3 and a half year old and he loves it. Overall it is way cooler than I thought it would be as he gets to unscrew and screw things ("fix it") which he loves to do. The only thing really is that he keeps asking for flicker as the bike and the lil spanish speaking flashlight flicker were introduced in the same episode.
so I'm wishing it had come with his character as well. other than that this is awesome for the lil person that likes to do and works on hand eye coordination.

I contacted the company via e-mail when our Talkatoo arrived broken. They were super-nice and sent me a new one, and also exchanged my necklace for a clip. The necklace has a safety clasp but ours would not even stay together so my son could wear it. The clip stays on, no problem. The Talkatoo isn't as much fun as I thought it would be, but I can picture myself sending it in his lunch box next year to leave a quick Love Note. :)

Talkatoo Voice Recordable Pendant: 'Pink Flower' with Clip Review

Talkatoo Voice Recordable Pendant: 'Pink Flower' with Clip
Average Reviews:

The talkatoo has made my daughter's transition back to school fun! She had some initial fear about going back and being away from me, but I clipped a message from mommy onto her backpack before she got on the bus so that she could hear my voice during the day if she missed me. It was quite the talk of the classroom and she came home from school with a big smile on her face. I recommend this product to any parent who is sending their child back to school and wants a fun way to send a message. the designs are so cute! I will look for a few more around Christmas for stocking stuffers, so she can have a variety of designs - the price makes it a viable option.

Simpsons World of Springfield Louie interactive action figure Review

Simpsons World of Springfield Louie interactive action figure
Average Reviews:

One of the associates of local mob boss, Fat Tony, Louie isn't to be messed with. He comes with his own assortment of phrases including, "You're not mad at me, are you?"
His accessories include a martini glass, a rifle, a briefcase full of money, and a carton of "Animal Milk" with a picture of Fat Tony on the cover. This was from an episode in which Fat Tony cornered the market on school milk - turned out it was from rats, not from cows. Totally hilarious episode and a totally hilarious action figure.

HITARI R/C KNIGHT RIDER K.I.T.T 1:15 SCALE NEW Review

HITARI R/C KNIGHT RIDER K.I.T.T 1:15 SCALE NEW
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
In 1982, a show would revolutionize television and capture people's attention. It starred, David Hasselhoff, Patricia McPheearson, the late Edward Molehair, the late Paul Freeze, Peter Cullen, William Daniels, Peter Pharose, and Rebecca Hollender.
The name of the show was called, "Knight Rider."
There were several toys and things done through out the show's airing on tv. There were even lunch boxes done for kids.
Fast forward to the year 2009. I would like to say that I wish they had made the other car from the show named "Karr." But, they didn't. Oh well. I don't really care either way. Kitt was an excellent car and could jump, talk, and when Michael was in trouble, come to his rescue. This car doesn't come with the com-link, nor a Michael Knight figure but, you wil get hours of fun out of this car. No trickey things to do. The car takes four double A's, and for the remote control, it takes one 9 volt battery. YOu can get Kitt to speak from the remote control, or the car itself because there is a button on the car that will make him speak as well. The original voice of William Danniels is heard. There are lights on the car. Just your basic head lights, and the scanner light that would go back and forth. Plus you have the soound of the scanner light that goes back and forth on the car. I bought this car for myself and my two kids love it. My son who is a year old loves the lights on it. My five year old step son wants one so I promised him I would try to get him one. Great job Hatari!!!!! I hope more Knight Rider stuff comes out.

Tamagotchi Connection V 4.5 Tamagotchi PC Accessory Pack Review

Tamagotchi Connection V 4.5 Tamagotchi PC Accessory Pack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased one of these toys for myself recently because I was part of the Tamagotchi generation, and decided that while it was cheap, I should get one, to see if they were still any fun. Perhaps my review is a bit biased, as I am older than their "intended" audience, but I am trying to be fair.
Yesterday, I opened up my Tamagotchi PC pack, and pulled out all of the pieces. It includes the tree/microphone, an exclusive tamagotchi, four tiny plastic figurines to place on the tree/microphone for decoration, a mouspad, a CDrom with the microphones installer on it, a set of instructions in English, a set in Spanish, and the "How to Install the Software" sheet. After plugging the cord attached to the microphone into the computer, I put the disk into the tray and waited for the software to install.
I expected it to be quick, easy and done with. Instead, it had to update my Adobe Flash Player, Microsoft .NET framework, and many other things I hadn't known it was going to need. Fifteen minutes later, everything was installed, and I had to go through the voice training. And I learned quickly that the microphone is both sensitive and picky.
You must speak DIRECTLY into it for it to catch your words so it can "recognize" your voice. This part was fun, going through phrases such as, "Pick a flower," "use the bathroom," and "time to dance." After the "recognition" stage, you are free to program it to open any sort of file you want, using a phrase you choose. Entertaining for a little while, I must say, however, having to say "Hey Buddy..." before every phrase to get its attention is not. Also, there is a lag between the recognition and the opening of files, sometimes as long as three minutes. If your Tamagotchi desktop buddy doesn't understand, it'll have a question mark over its head, and ask you if you'd like to retry your phrase or give up.
I can't even count the number of times the dogs were making a ruckus yesterday and set off the microphone, causing the retry and give up screen to come up. Repeatedly. I had to turn the mic sensitivity down so every time they walked down the hall it wouldn't set it off.
Then the Tamagotchi part. The little guy is fun, except for the waiting involved. I guess perhaps for younger children it wouldn't be such a hassle, but I have to wait about half an hour before the little guy wants to eat or play or do anything! If I play one game with him, that's it for half an hour. He doesn't want anything else to do with me.
He also naps frequently. He took about a two hour nap in the afternoon, after I'd spent some time on the TamaTown interactive website. And then he went into a deep sleep that I couldn't wake him up from! His regular schedule is to sleep at 8PM and wake again at 9AM. Now, that would be fine if I went to bed at 8PM, but I don't. I wanted to play some more, and it wasn't letting me.
The TamaTown website is the best part of this toy. You log on using a code your toy randomly generates, and then you explore the town. You can visit other Tamalands, earn GotchiPoints and presents that transfer to your toy when you log off, and send your Tama to school; both Preschool and Elementary. There are twenty or so mini-games on the site, and while some of them get boring on the repeat, there are so many that you shouldn't have to worry too much.
It's worth the ten dollars I paid for it, I have to say. I just wish it was a tiny bit more fun and interactive. What am I supposed to do between half an hour game sessions?

Now you can not only communicate with friends, but you can actually communicate with your own Tamagotchi with this PC accessory pack. The microphone allows you to activate and prompt your favorite character to do things like open a file, dictate a letter, dance, or get your email. Simply speak into the microphone and watch as your Tamagotchi comes to life. The microphone doubles as the cradle that stores your Tamagotchi, so chances are fairly good that it will never be far from you -- or easily misplaced.

If you want to have some creative fun all on your own, the included CD-ROM is chock full of activities. You can find wallpapers for your monitor, customize a desktop friend, or download fun games, three of which are voice-activates and use the microphone during play. There's also the option to create borders, posters, iron-ons, screen savers, and more -- and then print them to share with other Tamagotchi fans.

But the really fun aspect to the V4.5 Tamagotchi is that you can decide on a career path for your character. As you play games and earn skill points, you are honing the occupational direction of your character and can choose the dream job of your choice: rock star, florist, or chef. There are more than 20 new games and the skill points you accumulate for artistic, social, or intellectual merit can be used to purchase additional Gotchi items. You can also use these points to attend school and help influence the life of your character even further. Who knows? You might get lucky and receive good fortune, exciting news, or even a visit form the Tamagotchi King.

For more special items, you can find secret codes during game play or at the Tamagotchi Connection website that give your character food, toys, and other things. Some of these are rare items that you will be bragging about for days. Included with this accessory pack are five secret codes to get you started on your collection.

The nipples could look better but for the price they actually do look & feel nice even though that's not the main intended selling feature.
I thought Vitamin C's song, I know whay boys want, was a good choice to program in. It didn't record at a great volume but that could probably be resolved by turning the music up WELL past the volume I tend to listed to music at.
I feel I'd get a lot more use out of them if they had an ararm clock feauture. For maybe $10.00 more I feel this would be a neat way to wake up in the morning.
That's my 2 cents worth.

Vtech - Winnie The Pooh - Teach 'n Lights Phone
Average Reviews:

I bought this for my 22 month old for Christmas. She loves pressing buttons and making stuff happen (Pooh's voice), and picking up the handset. Now that she's 24 months, she finally "gets" it when Pooh asks her to "Call Piglet!", and she presses the number 3 which has Piglet on it.
Frankly, I'm not sure it's worth $19.99. That's how much I bought it for, at Walmart, but if this is your price range and you want a toy for a child who is at least 18 months of age, and maybe up until age 3, then this is a great one, in my opinion.
